«This organization is scheduled for deletion.» (realm_pending_deletion)

Symptom

The sign-in page shows «This organization is scheduled for deletion.» with «Sign-in is closed. Your provider can still restore the organization during the grace period; after it, all its personal data is erased.» The console or the API say «This organization is scheduled for deletion. Only a restore can reopen it.» (403 realm_pending_deletion).

A lifecycle action that no longer applies (for example resuming an organization scheduled for deletion) gives «The organization's state changed or does not allow this action. Refresh and review it.» (409 realm_state_conflict).

Cause

The provider requested the organization's deletion, usually at the end of the contract. Sign-in closes at once. During the grace period (30 days by default) the organization can still be restored; at the end, personal data is erased for good.

Fix

1. User: contact your organization's administrator.
2. Administrator: if the deletion was not expected, contact your provider as soon as possible, within the grace period.
3. Distributor: under «Distributor» › «Organizations», use «Restore». The organization returns to suspended; then use «Resume» to reopen sign-in.

After the grace period ends, no restore is possible.

When to escalate

A deletion requested by mistake or without authorization is a security incident: escalate at once to the provider's human team, with the time and who requested it (visible in the audit log).
