What a distributor's customers see
This article sums up, surface by surface, what the people of customer organizations see with your branding and with white label on («Hide the AuthGuard mark (white label)»).
Which names appear?
Under «Product names» you set two fields, up to 64 characters each and inherited field by field: «Product name (blank: inherited; with white label, the name of the organization or distributor)» and «Approval app name (blank: inherited; with white label, a neutral term)». With white label:
- the product name is the one you set; blank, the name of the organization or distributor that turned white label on;
- the app name is the one you set; blank, a neutral term ("mobile authenticator").
Below the fields, the console shows the effective names people see with white label. Without white label, people see AuthGuard.
Sign-in page and console
- Your colours, logos, icon and sign-in texts, following inheritance.
- Every message that named the product, the protocol or the app uses your names, including the licence-ending banner.
- While the organization's branding is not known yet, the page shows neutral texts (the tab only says "Sign in"), so it never shows a name the organization does not use.
- The sign-in hero (the large panel beside the form) shows your headline and supporting line, your logo large and your typeface. Without your own texts it shows a neutral headline ("Secure sign-in.") under white label, never the original slogan. The sign-in form itself is the same for every brand.
Typefaces
The hero typeface applies only to the web sign-in hero and its headings. The five choices are open-licence fonts the service delivers itself, never from an external font service. Other surfaces keep system fonts:
| Surface | Font |
|---|---|
| Emails | System font stacks only (mail clients do not load web fonts reliably): Georgia/serif for the classic serif, Arial/Helvetica for geometric, Trebuchet/Verdana for rounded, Arial Narrow/sans-serif for condensed |
| Windows sign-in panel | The system font; nothing is installed on the computer |
| Phone app | The system font |
Emails
They use the sender name, the optional logo and, if set, the brand's address; the content names your brand. See Per-brand email sender. Emails are in European Portuguese.
Phone app
For a white-labelled account: the approval screen shows the brand's logo and name, without the AuthGuard bar; the biometric prompt says «Vigia ID: approve request»; notifications are neutral («Approval request», «You have a pending request»). When every linked account is white-labelled, the app's general screens drop AuthGuard too. The icon, the installed name ("AuthGuard Presence") and the Play Store listing stay AuthGuard: Android reads them from the installed package.
Windows sign-in panel
The computer's service fetches the organization's branding at start and with every heartbeat. With white label, the panel shows neither the AuthGuard mark nor the word: it shows your logo, the product name (or "Secure sign-in") and the accent colour, if it has enough contrast.
Authenticator apps
New TOTP and HOTP codes, and Windows offline seeds, use the brand's product name as the issuer. Codes already added keep the old name.
Addresses
Each organization has the address <slug>.authguard.pt and, optionally, custom domains. Phone approval always uses the default address.
