«This organization is suspended.» (realm_suspended)

Symptom

The sign-in page shows «This organization is suspended.» with «Sign-in is closed while the organization is suspended. Its data is kept. Contact your provider to resume it.» The console or the API say «This organization is suspended. Sign-in and changes are closed until it is resumed.» (403 realm_suspended).

Cause

The provider suspended the organization. A suspension is a commercial or security decision by the provider, unlike an expired licence:

While suspended, nobody signs in, Windows computers stop receiving online approvals and integrations stop working. The data is kept.

Fix

1. User: contact your organization's administrator or helpdesk. You cannot fix this on your side.
2. Administrator: contact your provider (the distributor that sells you the service) to learn the reason and ask them to resume the organization.
3. Distributor: under «Distributor» › «Organizations», open the organization and use «Resume» once the reason is resolved. Sign-in reopens at once.

When to escalate

If the suspension was unexpected, treat it as a possible incident: the distributor checks in the audit log who suspended it and when.
