Change your password

  • 1 min read
  • SaaS · Self-hosted

You can change your password in the console at any time. After the change every session of yours ends, including the current one.

How do I change it?

  1. Open «Protect» › «Trusted devices» and choose «Change password».
  2. Confirm with your passkey or phone if the console asks.
  3. Type the «Current password», the «New password» and «Confirm new password».
  4. Choose «Change and end sessions».
  5. Sign in again. Your passkeys, phones and other factors are kept.

What are the password rules?

  • Between 15 and 1024 characters. A long, unique phrase is ideal; spaces and accents are accepted.
  • Passwords known to be common or compromised are refused, without calling external services.
  • Your organization cannot change these rules.

Use «I forgot my access details» on the sign-in page. See Recover access by email.

I think someone knows my password

Change it at once and tell support. If you got a phone request you did not make, use «It wasn't me» first (see I got a request I did not make).
