Connect to your organization's VPN or Wi-Fi
Many of your organization's VPNs, firewalls and Wi-Fi networks can confirm your identity with the authentication service. You type your account's email and password and confirm with a code or on your phone.
Which username do I use?
Your account's email on the authentication service. The password is the same as for the console.
How do I confirm with my app code?
It depends on how your administrator set up the VPN:
- The VPN asks for a code after the password: type the password; when the code prompt appears ("Code:" or similar), type the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.
- All at once: in the password field, type the password, a comma and the code. For example:
MySecretPhrase,123456.
How do I confirm on my phone?
- Type your email and password and submit.
- Your phone receives «Connect to the network» (or «Connect to Lisbon VPN as ana@example.com», with the network's name).
- This request uses compare mode: check the request and choose «Approve» within the wait time (usually 25 seconds). Confirm with biometrics or the PIN.
If you do not approve in time, the VPN refuses the connection; try again.
The VPN always refuses
For security, an unknown user, a wrong password, a wrong code and a missing second factor all get the same refusal. Check:
- Your email and password.
- That your phone's clock is right (for codes).
- That you have an authenticator app or a phone linked to your account.
If it continues, contact support. See The VPN or Wi-Fi refuses access.
Certificate-based Wi-Fi (802.1X/EAP)
Networks that ask for a certificate or an EAP method are not supported by this service. Use the method support gives you for those networks.
