Create people in the console

You can create your organization's people one by one in the console. For many people, connect your identity provider over SCIM first (see SCIM tokens).

How do I create a person?

1. Open «Manage» › «Users» (the «Users and roles» pane).
2. Choose «Create user».
3. Fill in:
   • Email: the person's sign-in name, unique in the organization.
   • «Initial password»: 15 to 1024 characters. A long, unique phrase.
   • «Role»: «Member» or «Administrator».
4. Choose «Create user» and confirm the change (passkey or phone, less than five minutes old).

The console reminds you: «Create only the access that is needed. The initial password must be delivered through a separate channel and replaced by ProofFlow at first sign-in.»

How do I hand over access?

• Deliver the initial password through a channel other than the email carrying the address (for example in person or by phone).
• The service sends no automatic email when you create a person.
• At first sign-in, the person creates a passkey or links a phone. With «Require a second factor at sign-in» on, they have no access until they do.

Which role should I pick?

Keep at least two administrators, both with a passkey.

Common errors

There is no bulk import

The console does not import CSV files. To bring in many people, use SCIM from Microsoft Entra ID or Okta.
